What role did you have in the film?

I played Brad Mendel, the straight arrow best friend of Jake Peters.

What was the best part of the filming experience?

The best part of filming had to be meeting all of the actors and crew. Hearing about projects they had worked on earlier and just hanging out with them was a really cool experience.

What was the most difficult part of filming or preparing for filming?

The most difficult part of filming for me was the scene where Brad sees Scott about to shoot up. The emotional tension of the scene and the fact that Brock was a lot bigger than me made it genuinely frightening for me, a fact I hope comes across in the scene.

What do you hope this film accomplishes?

I hope it reveals to audiences that there isn’t a stereotypical drug addict. All of the people in the film were very real people who just made bad choices. It all comes down to the people you surround yourself with and which role models you follow.

What other film projects have you worked on?

I’ve done pretty much everything but film, including stage, musical theatre, voice acting, etc. This is my first time on film.

What's next for you?

I am going to keep my eyes and ears open for casting calls, and hope to God I get lucky.

What advice do you have for others trying to get into the industry?

I got into this project through sheer luck. One of my friends called me and asked if I would like to go to a casting call, and at first I refused. Then I thought to myself, "Knock knock…who's there? Opportunity!" so I called her back and I accepted the audition, setting in motion events that would land me a part. The moral of my story is to keep your eyes and ears peeled, and remember that opportunity usually knocks very softly.
